Helios Mutual Fund has launched the Helios Financial Services Fund, an open-ended equity scheme designed to capture the growth potential in the financial services sector. The subscription period for this scheme started on May 31, 2024, and will conclude on June 14, 2024, with ongoing subscription and redemption available within five business days post-allotment. This scheme focuses on equities in the financial services sector. Samir Arora, Founder of Helios Capital, emphasized that the fund is tailored for investors seeking long-term capital growth and exposure to the financial services industry in India. The primary aim is to achieve long-term capital appreciation through investments in equity and equity-related securities within this sector, though success is not guaranteed.
The minimum investment required is ₹5000, with no maximum limit. Similar funds have been launched by various asset management companies, providing investors with returns aligned with the Nifty Financial Services Total Return Index, the chosen benchmark for this fund. This index is considered the best fit by AMFI for reflecting the performance of the Indian financial market, including sectors such as banking, housing finance, insurance, and other financial services. The trustees may opt to change the benchmark in the future if a more suitable index becomes available.
Investors will incur no “Entry Load” fees when investing in this scheme. The “Exit Load” is structured as follows:
- No charge if units redeemed or switched out are up to 10% of the units purchased or switched in within three months.
- A 1% charge on applicable NAV for units above the 10% limit if redeemed or switched out within three months.
- No charge if redeemed or switched out after three months from the date of allotment.
Alok Bahl and Pratik Singh will manage the fund. Despite the potential for significant returns, this scheme is labeled as “Very High Risk.” Investors should recognize that their principal is subject to considerable risk and consult their financial advisors to determine if this investment aligns with their financial goals.
